Patrick Musone is the leader of The Iron Mountain Boys. Patrick first got interested in bluegrass when he was teaching English in Connecticut and began studying with Bob Flesher and, later, Bill Knopf when he moved out to California. He plays banjo and piano and writes music.

At home Patrick refurbishes pianos and classic vehicles. If his face looks a little familiar, he is also a SAG member and has performed as an extra in various television shows and movies. He has also been a sheriff's deputy, a truck driver and a horseshoer, all before his 20-year tenure with Ventura County Animal Regulation, first, as senior field officer and then later, as the Community Education Coordinator, doing the popular "Big Dog Programs" throughout the county along with his wonderful Irish Wolfhound, "Romeo", always at his side. He isn't quite sure what he wants to do, though, when he grows up, but his beautiful bride, Susan (an interior designer) is enjoying their life together at their Pipsqueak Ranch in Oak View. Their next adventure will be training their miniature horse "Archie, The Wonder Horse", to pull a miniature prairie schooner at kids' birthday parties and festivals. What next?
